Sew, Heather, Sew!

Let the deluge begin… For that “Come hither, while I bake us some cookies” look, how about a sexy halter apron? Here’s a pattern I have in the works. And, remarkably, it looks fantastic on a variety of body types, so I won’t have to grade the pattern — yay!

I’m amassing a number of designs before hunting out a printer. However, I’m not up to waiting until they’re printed before sharing. All I do these days is eat, sleep, sew and change diapers. Throw in a number of trips around the world to Elijah’s school and a bit of blogging and you’ve got a pretty accurate view of my life, at least for the next few weeks (prepping for Quilt Market).

You see, my fabric is in. My fabric is in! I’ll post the whole stack this week. Meanwhile, cheer me on, “Sew, Heather, sew!”

  1. Yay Heather – you go girl! Sew it up a storm! Love the apron – may be I can look seductive when I bake after all (but only if I wear that apron).
“Show me the fabric, Show me the fabric” (said Jerry Maguire stylee) can’t wait to see it in all its glory.

  2. Oh, I love it! I can see how that style would flatter many figures, especially busty gals like me. Those little gathers under the bust are the perfect place to add some extra breathing room if need be. I can’t wait until this is available!!

  3. fabulous fabric and what a great design. i was looking at the picture (before reading the post) and said, “that’ll look great on every body”. nice work – looking forward to seeing the fabrics -yum!

  6. Oh, I love the apron. I have been checking out your blog for awhile now, and I can’t wait to see the fabrics! I asked my FreeSpirit rep about it when he was in the other week….but alas, he still didn’t have it. Is is debuting at Quilt Market?

  7. The apron is so cute–I love the styling of it and think it would look good even on me (I like to think of myself as voluptuous, NEVER calorically-challenged).
It is so exciting to see your new designs and patterns–I look forward to more.
    Keep up the good work!

  8. The apron is de-light-ful, Heather. Simply delightful. It says 1940s elegant housewife in heels to me. The heels have no appeal but I’m all over that apron. Brilliant job. Keep up the good work.
(Sew, Heather, sew! Sew, Heather, sew…)

  14. Hi Heather…surfed in here via Judy Perez’s blog…. about printers, check out Tri-State Printing at Steubenville, Ohio. I used them for my Haleakala Sunrise pattern, and they also do tissue patterns for garments, etc. Prices are good and service is excellent!
Cheers, and best of luck, Sarah
