OK — so the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, CA is my FAVORITE place on earth. Last time I went there, I walked out with 3 or 4 heaping garbage bags full of vintage linens for a total of $12!!! I spent several giddy hours sorting and sifting, devising big plans to make all sorts of little girl jackets and summer dresses. The result — one FAB-U-LOUS jacket for my niece, Lily (Laura’s girl). More photos here.

So what if it’s been nine months since the haul? One jacket’s a pretty good start in my book. Nine more months and I’ll have one for
Charlotte too!

Amazing, I am one jealous Mommy!
oh my! that is just gorgeous! I love the way that you combined the linens.
Are you in So. Cal? I’m in West LA wedged between Santa Monica & Culver City- Haven’t made it to The Rose Bowl flea market yet- but hear it’s FABULOUS!!
Absolutely adorable!! (And thanks for the headband pattern. Gonna make one tonight!)
I believe that this is the most creative adorable use of vintage dish towels I have ever seen! Bravo!!
What a great idea. I wouldn’t mind a jacket just like that…and I’m a 40-something!
Wow- that jacket is just beautiful. An instant heirloom. Well done!
Love the jacket and love the hanger – all so covetable! Just wish Australia wasn’t so far away from those flea markets!
